We are Swingtime

Swingtime is a Denver based group of five vocalists and a three-piece band that specializes in the music of the thirties and forties. A performance will have lots of Glenn Miller, a little Duke Ellington, some Cole Porter, a taste of the Andrews Sisters and the Mills Brothers, and other samplings from the Big Band era. The group has played for private parties, Windsor Gardens, several  VA functions, many of the area Borders stores and various benefits.

Once members of the 40 voice Aurora Singers, the singers decided to go out on their own in the fall of 1996. Starting out as Radieight with nine singers and only a piano as accompaniment, the group began to expand to include first a bass and then drums. Finding that the name was rather inaccurate (there were never eight singers, varying from 9 to 6 at any given time!),  the name Swingtime was adopted in 1998.
